JICAMA LENTIL NACHOS
Would it shock you to know that Nachos can be healthy!? YES! Make these Jicama Lentil Nachos! A Jicama is a great replacement for chips. Unlike chips, they are low in sodium and fat so they support heart health. They're filled with potassium, calcium and magnesium – all important minerals for our sustained health. Also, they have a nice crunch to them which make them even more like chips. This has become one of my go-to snacks!

This Mint Berry Slushie is a juice-like drink made in a blender. The main difference between “juicing” with a blender, like a vitamix, than a regular juicer is you keep all the pulp. This is good because you get all the fiber and nutrients.
With a juicer you just get the nutrients. It does take longer for the nutrients to absorb in your system when using the blender because of the pulp, but all in all they're both great for you! There are a lot of other differences between a juicer and blender that you can read here. (more…)
