Raspberry Mint Slushie

This Mint Berry Slushie is a juice-like drink made in a blender. The main difference between “juicing” with a blender, like a vitamix, than a regular juicer is you keep all the pulp. This is good because you get all the fiber and nutrients.

With a juicer you just get the nutrients.  It does take longer for the nutrients to absorb in your system when using the blender because of the pulp, but all in all they're both great for you! There are a lot of other differences between a juicer and blender that you can read here.

This slushie is packed with antioxidants, detoxing properties and cancer fighting compounds. Raw cranberries have been found to suppress cancer growth in cells more than any other fruit. They are optional for this recipe, but if you can find them I say add them!
