This Watermelon Limeade juice recipe is so refreshing and the perfect drink for Summer. It can be made in a juicer or blender.

If you make it in a juicer you can use the entire watermelon, rind and all. And do the same for the lime. It's a refreshing beverage that will keep you hydrated and nourished, especially in the hotter months.

A lot of people turn to sports drinks or energy drinks to get a boost, but did you know juicing is a healthy and delicious way to get your energy levels up?

Juices are easily absorbed in the body, which provides so much energy and when you're using ingredients like fruits and vegetables. There's nothing better. A lot of these energy drinks on the market are filled with crap ingredients that just hurt your health, so opt for this kind of juice instead!

Another reason I love juicing is because it's a great way to reduce food waste. I juice a lot of things that I typically don't eat. One of those things is watermelon rind! Did you know you can actually eat the skin of the watermelon? It's high in fiber and other nutrients.

The rind can also be juiced and that's exactly what I did with this watermelon limeade recipe.

I then take the pulp and compost it so this juice is a true no waste recipe.

Ingredients

  • ½ Small Watermelon
  • 3-4 Limes

Instructions

  • Wash your fruit before cutting. Then cut into cubes or just pieces that fit in your juicer. Juice everything, including the watermelon rind and skin of lime. Taste before you turn your juicer off to see if you need to add more watermelon or lime. You don't have to juice the rind but it's a great way to use up the entire watermelon.
  • This can also be made in a blender. I would suggest leaving out the rind and most of the skin from the lime. Blend the ingredients together and either drink as is, which will have a thicker texture, or you can strain it through a mesh cloth.
